Today’s Tech Role Model is Nicole Locklair. Today, Nicole is the Talent Acquisition Lead, Design, at LearnVest, a fintech startup that was acquired by the Fortune 100 financial firm Northwestern Mutual. Nicole began her career as a project manager who coordinated teams of creatives. Through her own first-hand experience, she learned the skills and traits that made a great designer. This knowledge helped her pivot into recruiting and work her way up to management roles.

Today’s Tech Role Model is Oran Bambrick. Today, Oran helps Irish companies move into new markets as SVP of Digital Technologies at Enterprise Ireland. In college, Oran studied social policy and film production. He spent a few years working on short films before moving into sales and marketing for an advertising agency. As he worked his way through the ranks, he fell in love with business development operations: the processes that help grow and scale a business.

Today’s Tech Role Model is Meka Seymour. Currently, she’s a full-fledged software engineer at Harry’s, a startup that makes and sells shaving equipment. Meka started working on their Customer Experience team. As she interacted with more engineers, she realized she wanted to move into software engineering. Instead of quitting her job, Meka took a different approach and shared her vision with her manager. With her manager’s support, she enrolled in online courses and studied in her free time to build her skills.
